Economic Development
Good communities start with good jobs. Lucy Nesheim will
work tirelessly to develop relationships with companies to
attract them to our part of the state. She will watch out
for the needs of workers while helping to create good jobs
and keep the community growing.Better Roads
If we are to attract new jobs to the area, we need a good
transportation system to move our goods to and from
market. The area tourism economy also depends heavily on
air transportation and highways. Lucy Nesheim will work to
improve transportation in Brainerd.
Health Care
Lucy serves on the Crow Wing County Community Health
Advisory Committee and serves on the Central Minnesota
Counsel of Aging board of Directors.
Affordable Housing
As a long-time city official, Lucy Nesheim knows much
about the need for affordable housing. Everyone needs an
affordable place to live.
Natural Resources
Lucy Nesheim spent the greatest portion of her career
serving some of Minnesota's finest conservationists:
hunters and fishermen. She knows that one of our greatest
assets is our environment-our lakes and forests and the
ability to enjoy them. Lucy Nesheim will work hard to
preserve and improve our natural resources.
